The island nation of Nauru, located approximately 4,000 kilometers from the coast of Hawaii, has announced the opening of an embassy in Jerusalem. The decision was made after Nauru’s Vice President and Foreign Minister Lionel Aingimea met with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar in Fiji. The embassy is expected to open in the coming months. Nauru is a small island nation spanning approximately 21 square kilometers and has submitted a positive opinion on Israel to the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
