Qari Abdul Sattar Halimi, the spokesman of the provincial police headquarters, told Bakhtar News Agency that the incident occurred due to a Probox car skidding in the area of Mehtab checkpoint on the Shabarghan-Qoshtape highway, as a result of which two people died and seven others were injured.
According to him, the injured have been transferred to Jawzjan Provincial Hospital for treatment.
The spokesman of Jawzjan Police Command asked all drivers to avoid such accidents by following the traffic rules and reducing the speed of the vehicle during storms, rains and other unfavorable weather conditions.
It is worth noting that according to the preliminary information, the cause of the accident has been shown to be carelessness of the driver.
