An apparent conjunction between the crescent moon and the planet Venus.
Today, Friday, July 17, the skies of Algeria will witness, shortly after sunset, around 20:30 local time, a beautiful astronomical phenomenon.
According to the Center for Research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geophysics, amateur astronomers and sky lovers will be able to see a beautiful apparent conjunction between the crescent moon and the planet Venus with the naked eye, on the western horizon.
The angular distance between the centers of the two objects will be about 2.8 degrees, while they will rise to about 20 degrees above the horizon.
