Meeting the aspirations of its broad audiences

The Egyptian Al-Ahly club is close to concluding a heavy-caliber attacking deal by contracting with the Algerian international striker, Moncef Baqarar, a player for the Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb, under a contract extending for three seasons, in order to strengthen the ranks of the “Red Giants” during the current summer transfer period and meet the aspirations of its broad fans.
Egyptian sports journalist, Abdel Rahman Ibrahim, revealed that negotiations between the two clubs have reached very advanced stages after reaching a semi-final agreement on the financial details. The basic value of the Algerian striker’s transfer deal is 3 million euros, which Al-Ahly will pay in three installments, in addition to additional incentives and bonuses amounting to 500,000 euros linked to the player’s participation rates, scoring rate, and winning titles with the team, with the Croatian club retaining 10% of the value of any future sale of the player’s contract.
While the two departments put the final legal touches on the contracts for final review and drafting, negotiations are proceeding with my representative with a decision to resolve the personal terms of his contract. Al-Ahly made an offer starting with an annual salary of $850,000 in the first season, gradually increasing until it reaches $1.1 million in the third year, while the player’s agents are demanding an increase in the financial compensation, amid a common desire to bring viewpoints closer and officially complete the deal as soon as possible.
Al-Ahly’s insistence on including Baqarar (25 years old) comes in view of the impressive levels he performed last season with Dinamo Zagreb. He participated in 42 matches, during which he contributed 25 goals (scoring 18 and making 7), leading his team to win the Croatian League, with his market value reaching 3 million euros. The son of ES Setif School has a distinguished international career and diverse experiences that he gained from his previous professionalism in the Croatian club Istra and then New York City in the United States, which makes him the ideal choice to lead the African champions’ attack.
