🟢 BRINGING EDUCATION CLOSER
The Mobile School Bus program began its journey through rural communities of Espinar, in Cusco, to bring technology, innovation and new learning methodologies to 1,750 students from 32 educational institutions. The initiative, promoted by the Specialized Educational Resources Center with the support of the Antapaccay Mining Company and the UGEL Espinar, seeks to strengthen the skills of elementary, primary and secondary schoolchildren. Since 2017, the project has benefited more than 8,100 students.
🟢 A FORUM FOR PREVENTION
Authorities, specialists and representatives of the private sector will participate today, Thursday, in a forum organized by El Comercio to define a roadmap against the El Niño phenomenon. During the meeting, warnings will be given about the need to strengthen prevention, improve coordination between the different levels of government and execute resilient infrastructure works. The participants agree that advance planning and public-private coordination will be key to reducing the impact of the climate event on the population and the economy.
🔴MISSING IN THE MOUNTAINS
The COER Áncash reported the alleged disappearance of three mountaineers in the Huascarán National Park, between camp 2 and camp 1, at about 6,000 meters of altitude. The missing were identified as Freddy Saúl Mendoza, Alejandro Ugarte and Artidoro Salas. A team of about 20 people participates in the search efforts, while the authorities coordinate actions with the police, the Mountain Guides Association and other specialized institutions.
