According to a statement from the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH), nine earthquakes have been recorded across Myanmar during the 10-day period from 3 to 12 July.
They occurred in the Bago, Mandalay, Sagaing, Ayeyawady, and Yangon regions, as well as in eastern Shan State.
According to the DMH statement, the recorded tremors include: 12 July— 3.8 magnitude in Bago (about 28 miles southwest of Kyaukkyi); 12 July—4.0 magnitude in Mandalay (about 11 miles north of Singu); 11 July—3.6 magnitude in Nyaung-U (about 18 miles west-southwest of Pale); 10 July—4.3 magnitude in Tamu (about 17 miles east of Mawlaik); 9 July—3.5 magnitude in Kantbalu (about 10 miles west-northwest of Kani); 5 July —3.5 magnitude in Pathein (about 9 miles northeast of Bogale); 4 July—3.0 magnitude in Hakha (about 16 miles west-northwest of Kani); 4 July—3.5 magnitude in Kaba-Aye (about 3 miles south-southeast of Htantabin); 3 July—3.8 magnitude in Kengtung (about 7 miles south-southeast of Mongla).
