The security services of the state of Blida, represented by the search and intervention squad and the judicial police teams, and in coordination with the security of the Boufarik district, arrested 15 people during security operations, including individuals being investigated by the judicial authorities, on suspicion of involvement in neighborhood gang activity and trafficking in drugs and psychotropic substances.
The security interventions included people who appeared in video clips circulated on social media, and they were involved in fights between neighborhood gangs during which ferocious dogs were used in acts of threat and assault, which required an intensive security movement to overthrow them and put an end to their activity.
The operation resulted in the seizure of 19 banned white weapons of the sixth category, including large swords, in addition to two ferocious dogs that were used in attacks, as well as quantities of cannabis and cocaine, five vials of narcotic solutions, and 1,000 hallucinogenic tablets, in addition to a sum of money exceeding 237 thousand dinars, suspected of being proceeds from drug trafficking.
These results reflect the security services’ continued intensification of their proactive operations to combat various forms of crime, especially those linked to neighborhood gangs and drug trafficking, due to the threat they pose to the security of citizens and the safety of residential neighborhoods.
After completing the legal procedures, all detainees were brought before the competent judicial authorities at the Boufarik Court, to continue investigations and take the necessary judicial measures against them.
