THE Department of Rural Development, under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, Bago Region, Thayawady District, held a ceremony to disburse revolving funds under the Mya Sein Yaung Village Project in Thazinaing Village, Thayawady Township, yesterday.
Thayawady Township Department of Rural Development Head Daw Lay Lay Lwin and project staff explained that the revolving funds were provided under the Mya Sein Yaung Village Project with the objectives of creating employment opportunities and increasing family incomes for rural residents, as well as implementing village development activities with the increased revolving funds. Officials then explained project activities, interest rates, repayment periods and rules and regulations to be followed, and handed over K52.99 million in revolving funds to members of the project implementation groups.
Thazinaing Village and Tawgway (South) Village are implementing family income-generating activities using K52.99 million from the Mya Sein Yaung Village Project. Under the supervision of the township head, members of the project implementation groups disbursed the 11th round of revolving loans to a total of 148 members from the two villages, including 138 people engaged in agricultural activities, nine in livestock farming and one in livelihood activities. — Sein Lwin (Rural)
