The renovation of the lighting in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Meritxell will cost 89,000 eurosaccording to the agreement signed between the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and FEDA. The agreement, initialed coinciding with the 50 years since the construction of the new templeplans to rehabilitate, improve and adapt the existing facility with criteria of energy efficiency, sustainability and respect for heritage.
The Government will be in charge of the bidding and awarding of the works, valued at 82,000 euroswhile FAITH will assume the technical diagnosis, with a cost of 7,000 eurosand will contribute 10,000 euros for global funding of the works. The minister Monica Bonell he emphasized that the agreement allows “to combine efforts” to preserve one of the symbols of the country’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
