
The Algerian national football team learned about its standings in the 2026 World Cup competition.
The Greens’ participation was frozen in the 16th round at dawn last Friday, after failing to pass the Swiss obstacle.
Thus, the “Desert Warriors” bid farewell to the current World Cup stage, and they occupied 30th place in the general ranking list, out of 48 participating teams.
In its first attendance at the 1982 Spain World Cup, the national team ranked 13th, out of 24 participating teams.
In the Mexico 1986 edition, the “Greens” ranked 22nd, out of 24 participating teams.
As for the South African 2010 tournament, the national team dropped out of the race, after placing in 28th place, out of 32 participating teams.
In the 2014 Brazil tournament, the “Desert Warriors” ranked 14th, out of 32 participating teams.
