According to information from the press office of the Ministry of Economic Affairs to Bakhtar News Agency; Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, in a meeting with doctors, expressed his condolences to the government and people of Iran on the martyrdom of the great religious leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei; They discussed bilateral relations.
The economic deputy of the Prime Minister mentioned the commonalities between Afghanistan and Iran in many fields and added that both countries have obvious common interests.
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund said that the position of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan regarding the attack of America and Israel on Iran was clear and firm and he considered this attack as illegitimate and condemned it.
Also, in his speech, the President of Iran emphasized on the close and friendly relations between the two peoples and said that both countries should use all available opportunities for the benefit of both peoples.
Massoud Meeshchiyan called the development of relations with Afghanistan a special priority for his government and insisted that both governments should use all their capacities.
It is worth mentioning that Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the economic deputy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, is the brother of the country’s foreign minister, Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the former religious leader of Iran, has traveled to the country to attend the funeral ceremony.
