Producer James Barker died in Fiji last week while filming the American version of Love Island. Barker was only 40 when he passed away.
Appears in foreign media such as People that his death was due to a sudden illness. Barker’s death has attracted considerable attention as the shows are extremely popular and happened while the eighth season was being filmed. Barker began working on the series in 2020.
The episodes were recorded in the sun and heat
The American episodes of Love Island take place in a luxurious mansion in the Fiji Islands, as the weather is always good there. Participants in the reality show can therefore wear swimsuits and play in the pool during filming. However, the British episodes have, among other things, been filmed in Mallorca, Spain.
