The member of the European Union in SO Tivat, Ćazim Lisičić, announced that last night at 10:30 p.m. the work on Belane beach continued.
“Exactly four days have passed since the European Union publicly pointed out the midnight construction party on Belane beach and asked the authorities how long rampage and violation of the construction ban in the middle of June will be tolerated. The response of the competent state and local institutions was expected, as citizens are already used to, silence. They buried their heads in the sand, I guess hoping that the citizens would forget about the dredging at three in the morning, and that the problem would disappear by itself,” said Lisičić.
But, as he says, whenever you think that nothing can surprise you anymore, the local government in Tivat denies you.
“Last night, exactly at 10:30 p.m., at the same location, we witnessed a new act of our Tivat theater of the absurd. Since the excavator made too much noise last time and brought the city to its feet, the arrogant tenant under the protection of Morski Dobr switched to more subtle, “manual” methods. Under the glow of moonlight and car headlights, the sand was shoveled and finished in front of the eyes of our fellow citizens and tourists who are walking and trying to rest at that time,” said Lisičić.
He asked if there is anyone in Tivat to do the work for which the citizens pay him.
“On the one hand, we have the President of the Municipality Željko Komnenović, our local Hudini, who probably doesn’t have time to deal with communal order and the fact that the beach on Belani, instead of being free and accessible to all citizens of Tivat, has been handed over to a private tenant who is now, in the middle of June, “feeding” it under the cover of darkness and dispersing it with shovels. “Our Houdini is currently performing his famous magic tricks behind the scenes, he is busy with secret political work, “searching” and treating councilors in order to provide bare support for his own survival in the coming period,” said Lisičić.
On the other hand, according to him, this situation exposed the President of the Municipal Assembly Miljan Marković and his New Serbian Democracy (NSD) to the end.
“Those who advocate so convulsively in public for the work of institutions and respect for the law, have shown that they are actually only strong in their words. When it comes to morals and order, Marković is the first. But when his party comrades who manage the Morsko Dobro Public Enterprise and their privileged wards arrogantly trample on that same communal order, then institutional courage melts away, and principledness disappears in the darkness of Belane beach,” Lisičić claims.
It is important, as he concludes, to finish the job, even if it is with shovels in the late hours, while Marković and the NSD are obviously keeping their backs to their party enterprise, or as they once rightly called it, the “Evil of the Sea”.
“We are telling the gentlemen from NSD, Marković, Morski dobr and Tivat’s Houdini: you have hit a hard nut,” he pointed out.
Lisičić adds that the European Union will not silently observe how you make Tivat your private butt and coin for pocket change.
“We tolerate you for as long as you have to be there. From June next year, when we take responsibility for managing the city, we will put a permanent end to this kind of lawlessness, party bragging and political trades and finally restore law and order that will apply equally to everyone,” said Lisičić.
