The US army bombed Iranian sites following the attack on a commercial ship in the Strait of Hormuz
US Central Command announced on Friday that the United States launched air strikes on Iran in response to an attack that targeted a commercial ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
The US Central Command statement was as follows: “Our forces carried out strikes against targets in Iran in response to the attack that targeted a commercial ship while it was crossing the Strait of Hormuz with a drone.”
She added, “The strikes targeted Iranian missile and drone storage sites and coastal radar sites… The Iranian attack on the merchant ship MV Ever Lovely constitutes a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement.”
The US Central Command continued, “The US Army is present and alert to ensure full compliance with all provisions of the agreement with Iran and their full force and effectiveness.”
