The cultural advisor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul considered the participation of Afghans in the funeral of the martyred leader as a manifestation of the deep bond between the two nations.
On the eve of the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in holy Mashhad, a significant number of Afghan citizens have announced their readiness to attend this ritual. According to the cultural adviser of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, the presence is a reflection of the historical, cultural and religious ties between the two nations of Iran and Afghanistan.
Referring to the expanding relations between Tehran and Kabul, Seyyed Ruhollah Hosseini, the cultural adviser of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan, said that the relations between the two countries have developed in various political, cultural and social dimensions in recent years, and this has strengthened the people-to-people relations between the two nations.
According to him, the deep linguistic, cultural and religious similarities between Iran and Afghanistan have made the presence of Afghan citizens in the funeral ceremony of the martyred leader a natural and expected thing.
Iran’s cultural advisor in Kabul also emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes the presence of scientific, cultural, religious figures and Afghan officials in this ceremony.
He considered this presence as a symbol of empathy, solidarity and friendly relations between the two countries and added that the participation of Afghan figures in such occasions can convey a clear message of the closeness of the Muslim nations of the region.
Referring to the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran among the people of Afghanistan, Hosseini predicted that the participation of Afghans in this ceremony would be significant.
According to Iran’s cultural adviser in Kabul, in addition to the pilgrims who will go to Iran from Afghanistan, the large community of Afghan immigrants living in Iran will also have a large presence in this ceremony.
Referring to the years of cohabitation of Afghan immigrants with the Iranian people, he noted that this community has always been present in important social, religious and national events alongside the Iranian nation, and it is expected to have a strong participation in this event as well.
