In 2018, the boy came for training at the cricket training center in Thiruvananthapuram. During this, he was sexually assaulted. The accused took a nude photo and video of the child. In another case, a nude video of the child was taken threatening his life. The girl was not given proper training as she did not yield to the will of the accused. In 2019, the kid went to another place for training.
The boy was scared and did not tell anyone because he threatened to ruin his future in cricket if he disclosed the abuse. Apart from this child, the accused also molested five other children who had come for training. The scared children went to another place for training. They also did not disclose the incident. In 2024, a girl who had been molested while attending a girls’ cricket tournament in Thiruvananthapuram met the accused years later. The incident of molestation came to light when the child made a noise out of fear.
After this child filed a complaint, other children also got the courage to file a case. Subsequently, six cases were registered against the accused. Of these, the trial of four cases has been completed. The same court had convicted the accused in a case last month. The verdict in the third case, where he was found guilty, will be handed down on Saturday.
