The Emirati journalist, Majid Al Farsi, confirmed that the smile of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, during the spontaneous moment that brought him together with the American President, Donald Trump, on the sidelines of covering the work of the Group of Seven Summit, was what pleased him most in that situation, indicating that the positive reactions he received after the American President praised his professional style, reflected the civilized image that the people of the Emirates carry to the world.
Al Farsi caught the attention of the American President with his tactful style while asking him a question, saying: “Mr. President, I have a question, please.” The American President responded directly, saying to His Highness the Head of State: “What an elegant person. Is he from your country?” “His manner is nice, unlike our journalists, they are not nice. What a good-looking person I could put in a movie now.”
He said: “What I am most proud of is hearing expressions describing this position as embodying the morals of (Zayed’s children) with which we were raised in the UAE.”
Al-Farsi added to “Emirates Today” that the situation came completely spontaneously while he asked to ask the American President a question, stressing: “To get a kind word or praise from the president of the largest country in the world, and in front of the greatest leader in the world, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, this is something that may not be repeated twice in a lifetime, but for me it was a blessing from God above all else.”
He explained that the atmosphere of the summit was full of positivity and joy, pointing out that President Trump seemed happy during the interaction with the media, but the moment that will remain firmly in his memory is the smile of His Highness the President of the State, saying: “This smile I do not think I will forget, and it is enough for me to have a simple window through which I serve the UAE and cover its affairs in front of the world, as this is a great honor.”
He pointed out that the volume of interaction and the messages he received from within the Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries reflected the amount of pride and pride in the situation, stressing that the positive reactions he received represented a reflection of the values that the people of the Emirates were raised on.
He added: “What makes me happiest when I hear someone say that these are the morals of (Zayed’s children) that we were raised on, and thank God that we reflect this civilized image of the world, for the near and far.”
