Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran have underscored the imperative of seizing the current diplomatic moment to buttress peace endeavours, reinforce de-escalation and stability, in accordance with the principles of international law and good-neighbourly relations, so as to safeguard regional security and ensure the safety of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and international shipping lanes. This was affirmed during the meeting in Muscat between the Foreign Minister and the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, along with his accompanying delegation.
