A violent scene unfolded in Dundas Town, Abaco, early this morning, leaving a 32-year-old resident dead and another man injured. According to police reports, the victim was gunned down while leaving a local business.
Just after 1:30 a.m., an anonymous caller alerted police to a shooting on Bottle Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discoved a white Honda in the bushes along Forest Drive. Inside, the was the 32-year-old victim with gunshot wounds to the abdomen. Police said he was rushed to the Marsh Harbour Clinic, however, he was declared dead by a doctor at 2:38 a.m.
Police said two assailants approached the victim as he reversed his vehicle and opened fire.
Meanwhile, at the clinic, investigators gathered information from a 20-year-old man, also caught in the gunfire. The victim said he was shot in the shoulder as he headed to his car. Police said the 20-year-old was unable to identify his attackers.
He remains in stable condition and was expected to be flown to New Providence for further care.
