His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, published on his account on the Instagram platform, a video clip showing the gatherings of fans of the “Nashama” national team to follow and support the team before its expected confrontation against Algeria in the 2026 World Cup.
His Highness accompanied the clip with the phrase: “All of Jordan is behind you,” in a message of support and assistance to the national team before its important match scheduled for Tuesday morning in the group stage competitions.
This comes at a time when the national team continues its preparations to face Algeria at six in the morning, Tuesday, Jordan time, at San Francisco Stadium in the United States, in the second round of the tenth group competitions in the 2026 World Cup finals.
The national team’s technical director, Jamal Salami, confirmed that the match against Algeria will be strong, noting that the star players are seeking to achieve a positive result that will enhance their chances of competing to qualify for the next round.
Salami said during a press conference that the lack of experience and fear of participating in the first World Cup affected the team against Austria, stressing that that stage has become a thing of the past, and that the team learned a lot from the opening match.
He added that facing Algeria is a “decisive match”, and that the winner will have a better chance of qualifying, stressing the readiness of the players and his confidence in the team’s ability to provide a better performance, more defensive solidity and offensive effectiveness.
For his part, national team player Yazan Al-Arab confirmed that the players will be extremely focused against Algeria, pointing out that the result of the previous match against Austria does not reflect the level presented by the team, and that the team is still capable of providing more in the tournament.
The national team participates in the tenth group alongside the teams of Argentina, Algeria and Austria. The Al-Nashama team began their World Cup campaign by losing to Austria 1-3, while Argentina beat Algeria 3-0, before the national team concluded its matches in the group stage by facing Argentina at dawn on Sunday, June 28, Jordan time.
