Under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them – and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman, Minister of Defense, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided a new push to support the Yemeni government’s budget deficit to cover salaries for state employees, amounting to more than 224 million Saudi riyals.
The Kingdom’s ambassador to Yemen, Muhammad Al Jaber, wrote in a post on his official account on the “X” platform, on Friday, “Under the directives of the leadership – may God support it – and with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman, Minister of Defense, a new payment was disbursed through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen to support the Yemeni government’s budget deficit to cover salaries for state employees in an amount of more than 224 million Saudi riyals.”
He added: “This support will contribute to the regularity of financial flows to the government, provide hard currency, enhance the stability of the Yemeni riyal exchange, and support the government’s efforts to provide basic services and economic stability.”
The Yemeni President, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, expressed, on behalf of himself, his brothers members of the Council, the government, and the Yemeni people, his sincere thanks and appreciation to his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for their generous directives to disburse a new batch of support allocated to the state’s general budget. President Al-Alimi also highly appreciated the diligent follow-up by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman, Minister of Defense, and the sincere efforts of his team, including the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen.
