On June 21, 2015, explosives and civil protection experts in Ismailia Governorate were able to deal with a report of finding foreign objects in the vicinity of Al-Mammar Square, one of the most important vital squares in the governorate. By moving to the location of the report and imposing a security cordon around the area, it was revealed that there were two structural devices equipped with electrical wires and batteries near the railway club. The civil protection forces then succeeded in dismantling the two devices using a water cannon without causing injuries or losses. The policeman was hit with gunshots in various parts of his body and was transferred in serious condition to Fayoum General Hospital to receive treatment, while the Public Prosecution began investigating the circumstances of the incident.
