The Barbados Golf Association has proudly congratulated Barbados international golfer Emily Odwin as she officially turns professional and prepares to make her professional debut on the Epson Tour.
Emily is currently in action at the Great Lakes Championship at The Highlands in Harbor Springs, Michigan.
Her transition to the professional ranks comes at a fitting moment. Just days ago, Emily was named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, recognising outstanding achievement both in the classroom and in competition.
According to BGA President Damian Edghill, Odwin’s achievements have brought enormous pride to Barbados.
“She has excelled academically, distinguished herself internationally and now begins an exciting professional career. What makes her story so important is that she shows our young golfers what is possible,” he said.
Edgill continued, “Emily was once a member of our Barbados Junior National Team. Through hard work, determination and the support of her family and coaches, she earned herself an outstanding education and now a future in professional golf.
“She is an exceptional ambassador for Barbados and an inspiration to the next generation. We are immensely proud of her and excited to watch the next chapter of her journey unfold,” he added. (PR)
