Abelardo De La Espriella’s presidential campaign issued a urgent alert to warn citizens about types of scam who illicitly use the candidate name and its “Sign for the Homeland” and “Defenders of the Homeland” movements.
Through a official statement signed by María Fernanda Sandoval, director of communications, the organization denied categorically any request for funds.

The document states verbatim that the campaign “does not request, does not receive and has not authorized the money collection, donations, contributions or financial transfers through people, groups, WhatsApp chains, payment links, bank accounts or digital platforms.”
The instruction of the work team seeks to protect the trust and assets of Colombians against criminal networks.
“The instruction is unequivocal: do not deliver a single peso to whoever invokes the name of Abelardo De La Espriella, his campaign or Defenders of the Homeland to request financial resources“emphasizes the statement issued from Bogotá.

The political organization also stated that there are no authorized intermediaries for manage agendas or promise approaches with the candidate.
“Nor are those who present themselves as friends, acquaintances, people close to the candidate or alleged links with capacity for manage approaches, meetings, support or any type of contact with the candidate,” adds the official warning.

This prohibition on raising funds or conducting business covers coordinators, volunteers and supportersboth in Colombia and abroad.

Upon detection of these fraudulent activitiesthe movement asked citizens refrain from making any type of paymentcollect evidence of deception and immediately report to court.
Finally, the De La Espriella team highlighted the transparency of his presidential aspiration by maintaining that “this movement is built with the free, democratic and fervent support of the Colombians. Not with improvised collections, intermediaries or financial requests carried out in the shadows”.

Atlas Survey Results
A few days before presidential second round On June 21, a new survey from AtlasIntel to Week locate Abelardo de la Espriella in front of voting intention in Colombia. According to the results of the study, the candidate obtains the 52.2%while Iván Cepeda reaches 44.5%, which represents a advantage of 7.7 percentage points.

The measurement was carried out between June 5 and 10, 2026 to 3,681 people from different regions of the country using the Random Digital Recruitment (Atlas RDR) methodology. According to the technical sheet, the study has a 2% margin of error and a 95% confidence level.
The results show that De la Espriella maintains an advantage in various regions of the country. In it Caribbean registers a voting intention of 56%while in the Central regionwhich includes Antioquia and the Coffee Region, reaches 58.9%. In the Amazon and the Orinoquía also appears first with the 50.5% of preferences.
For its part, Iván Cepeda retains an advantage in Bogota and in the Pacific region. In the country’s capital, he obtains the 49.9% of voting intention compared to De la Espriella’s 44.6%. In the Pacific, the candidate registers the 53.1%while its competitor reaches 44.9%.
