At a FBP Vaduz party event on Monday evening, Mayor Florian Meier officially announced that he would again be available as a candidate for mayor in the local council elections on March 14, 2027. The announcement was met with great applause from the party members present.
The incumbent looked back on a challenging time: “The last few years have been very intense. It was a very special situation that we were able to overcome together. It can’t be done alone, it can only be done together.”
According to his own statement, the deciding factor in his candidacy was the support from the party. He still feels the energy necessary to implement the community’s upcoming projects and stick to them consistently. He gave that as an example Voting result for the marketplacewhich he described as particularly pleasing. “I would like to go into the election with this energy together with a great team.”said Meier.
The search for candidates is in full swing
The local group has been systematically interviewing potential candidates since October of last year. As of today, six people had agreed – three women and three men. The goal is at least eight candidates.
