Iran says Tehran and Washington have reached agreement on many issues in exchanges of views on a possible deal to end the war, but warns a deal is not imminent.
“It is fair to say that we have come to a conclusion on a large part of the issues discussed,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said at a weekly press conference, reports Times of Israel.
“But to say that this means that the signing of an agreement is imminent — no one can make such a claim,” he says, accusing Washington of changing its positions.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that an agreement to end the war with Iran could materialize “today”.
