Dubai was outplayed in Belgrade: Partizan extended the final series – Sport

The black and whites thus extended this final series, so after the two opening triumphs of Dubai, the total score is now 2:1 in favor of the team from the Emirates.

Partizan opened the match better, and after two and a half minutes of play with a three-pointer by Carlik Jones and points by Jekiri, the scoreboard read 5:0.

It didn’t take long for Dubai to respond after the series went 7:0 into the lead. However, Joan Peñaroja’s team played the rest of the first half in a great rhythm.

Calates perfectly found Bruno Fernando who scored for plus eight (18:10). Not long after, Washington successfully scored after penetration for the first double-digit advantage, and at the end of the first quarter it was 23:10.

Dubai managed to reduce the difference to eight points, and the coach Partizan Joan Peñaroja earned a technical foul for complaining about the refereeing.

A similar scenario was seen again as in the first quarter, the home team was better in the finish, so at halftime there was a thirteen point difference again – 47:34.

The team from the Emirates, led by the center Mfiondu Kabengele, after three and a half minutes of the game in the continuation came to minus six (52:46).

Again, the Partizan players had a ready answer, and after Nik Kaltes’ three-pointer and before the decisive quarter, they had a double-digit advantage.

In the final part of the game, the team from Humska did not allow Dubai to threaten significantly. This time, Partizan was better in the introduction, and the only thing the visitors managed was to be equal in the last quarter, but not in the whole match.

In Partizan, Bruno Fernando scored 15 points, to which he added eight rebounds and one assist. Kabengele and Bertans scored 17 points for Dubaiand the Canadian center recorded nine rebounds.

The next match will be played on Friday, and Partizan will be the host again.
