The General Authority for Media Regulation summoned a citizen who insulted one of the sister countries in an audio space on one of the social media platforms, and the regulatory procedures were completed regarding his violation, and it was referred to the Public Prosecution on June 8, as it is considered an information crime according to Article 6 of the Anti-Information Crimes Law.
This came after the authority’s competent authority monitored, on June 6, 2026, violating content in an audio space that included exposure to symbols and leaders of a sisterly country, which is considered a violation of the anti-cybercrime system, which prohibits exposure to anything that would offend brotherly or friendly countries and their leaders and symbols, or disrupt the regulations.
The authority stressed that it continues to monitor all content that violates the regulations and controls of media content, and that it will not hesitate to implement regulatory measures against those who commit violations, based on its role in monitoring media content.
