Telex: According to an email exchange, the Ádám Fásy had a say in the content of the paper discrediting Borkai, the Fásy reject this

“They are degrading, humiliating, trampling their human dignity in the mud, because the father does not meet the taste of the Hungarian media in power, because he did not vote for the party they support! How can this happen in a democratic country,” Ádám Fásy wrote to Telex after we sent him questions with the regarding an article published last weekaccording to which the Fásyes gave detailed instructions to the editor-in-chief regarding the content of Győr’s Fullánk.

Telex: “We never forget” France was shaken by the murder of an 11-year-old girl

For months before the 2024 election, the publication Fullánk was dropped into the mailboxes of households in Győr, and at that time the newspaper also attacked the former mayor of Fidesz, Zsolt Borkai. Borkai spoke about the fact that his challenger from Fidesz, András Csaba Dézsi, was behind the publication, and filed a complaint in the case.

The ugytudjuk.hu wrote last week that they came into possession of several correspondences that took place between the personal email accounts of the editor-in-chief of Fullánk, László Menyhért-Mészáros and Ádám Fásy. The paper could not say whether Ádám Fásy was really sitting at the computer when the letters were sent, but the email address is currently the official contact information of Zsam-Art Kft., owned by Ádám Fásy’s daughter and wife.

In the first letter, the Fásyes provided the addressee with detailed instructions on what content changes should be made in the publication. “To take out Dézsi and Fidesz. To correct the title. Borkai is only making himself feel sorry for himself or Borkai is presenting himself as a sacrificial lamb (they want something like that),” wrote the Fásyes based on the picture. László Menyhért-Mészáros already addressed the following letters to Fásy, in which he showed with pictures in September, December and January of the following year that the publications had been printed and delivered.

Bence Pintér, mayor of Győr elected in 2024 reported it a week and a half agothat Győr Plusz Média also signed a contract with the company of Ádám Fásy’s daughter, Zsüliett Fásy: before the 2024 local government elections, it produced a campaign publication for HUF 7 million, which summarized the investments made during Dézsi’s time, while the journalists were present in-house. As ugytudjuk.hu writes, Bence Pintér’s statement did not refer to Fullánk, but to Dézsi’s campaign brochures. Thus, it is even more interesting if the editor-in-chief of the paper really consulted with Fásyék.

We then contacted Ádám Fásy regarding the correspondence. “I consider the claims of the article published on the Ugytudjuk portal to be untrue and insulting to my reputation,” wrote Ádám Fásy in his reply. “I find it outrageous that they are trying to involve me and my family in a case that we have nothing to do with. I think it is particularly serious that in the article they are using my name and trying to discredit me by referring to alleged e-mails, while I can prove that I have no connection to the case.” According to Fásy, the discrediting campaign against us seriously offends him
our human dignity and reputation. “We will take the necessary legal steps and use all the means at our disposal to prove our truth.”

We also wrote in the Telex last November that the Zsam-Art Kft. received 100 million for a project related to the Munkácsy traveling exhibition. In this regard, Ádám Fásy announced that they received the grant for the realization of the exhibition series entitled The Birth of the Conquest, the use of which must be accounted for item by item.

“Until now, no one has asked me what I have to do with Mihály Munkácsy’s oeuvre. I have been the manager of the world-famous painter’s exhibition series for more than twenty years,” wrote Fásy.

Ádám Fásy’s letter is published below without changes:

I consent to the publication of my speech only if it is published in full, verbatim, with unchanged content. I do not agree to tabloid, misleading or sensationalist titles, or to the use of my speech in such a context!

First of all, I would like to inform you that neither my wife nor my daughter is a public figure, so I ask that you act in accordance with the applicable laws regarding their persons. At the same time, I clarify that the wording “Family company of Ádám Fásy” is untrue, since I do not have a company, I am retired, and the business association is an independent legal entity.

I declare that I consider the statements of the article you refer to, published on the Ugytudjuk portal, to be untrue and insulting to my reputation. Thank you for drawing my attention to the article.

I find it outrageous that they are trying to involve me and my family in a matter that we have nothing to do with. I consider it particularly serious that in the article they are trying to discredit me by abusing my name and referring to alleged e-mails, while I can prove that I have nothing to do with the case.

Lady! I am convinced that the smear campaign against us seriously damages our human dignity and good reputation. The allegations that have been published about my family and me in the past period are untrue and I categorically refuse to be linked in any way to matters that we have nothing to do with. We will take the necessary legal steps and use all the means at our disposal to prove our truth. They discredit, humiliate, trample their human dignity in the mud, because the father does not meet the taste of the Hungarian media in power, because he did not vote for the party they support! How can this happen in a democratic country. We should not respect decency, honor, human dignity and freedom regardless of party or religious affiliation!

May I ask you a question? How will/will the honor of my family and myself be restored? The questions you raise are just as untrue and vile slander as what has been done to my child for the past month. My daughter is 28 years old, has three degrees, and completed her most recent university studies with excellent results, a master’s degree. I find it particularly hurtful that at an international press conference it was falsely claimed that he performed at a Fideszes political campaign event for HUF 120 million, while the reality is that he has not been on stage for eight years. This is a serious mistake or false statement. Neither I nor my family received state support for musical activities or documentary filmmaking! Last year, Zsam-Art Kft. – as an independent legal entity – received a grant of HUF 80 million + VAT for the realization of the exhibition series Mihály Munkácsy: Birth of Honfoglazal, the use of which must be accounted for itemized. The series of exhibitions has proven to be successful so far: the Gödöllő exhibition was seen by more than 21,400 visitors free of charge, including around 1,000 children, who were provided with professional guided tours. So far, no one has asked me what I have to do with Mihály Munkácsy’s oeuvre. I have been the manager of the exhibition series of the world-famous painter for more than twenty years. Last year, we were able to welcome the 5,340,000th visitor in Hajdúszoboszló, which is also a remarkable result at the international level. During my work, I always tried to make Mihály Munkácsy’s art reach all Hungarians, regardless of their political affiliation or worldview. I think the visitor numbers speak for themselves.

The disparaging media appearances of the past period caused significant moral and financial damage to our family. However, no amount of compensation can compensate for the damage caused to our reputation and human dignity. It is especially painful that our child also suffered severe trials. I trust that the truth will eventually become apparent to all.
