The field for the 2026 Herculis EBS Meeting continues to grow stronger, with organisers confirming the participation of several Olympic and world champions ahead of this summer’s Diamond League event at Stade Louis-II on Friday, July 10.
Among the latest additions is rising American sprint sensation Jordan Anthony, who will make his Monaco debut in the men’s 100 metres. Recently crowned world indoor champion, Anthony is widely regarded as one of the most exciting young prospects in global athletics and will be aiming to make an immediate impact on the Principality’s renowned track.
One of the evening’s most anticipated contests is set to come in the women’s 100-metre hurdles, where Olympic champion Masai Russell will face reigning world champion Ditaji Kambundji. Russell arrives in Monaco in exceptional form after clocking 12.14 seconds earlier this season, a performance that left her just two hundredths of a second shy of the world record. Her showdown with Kambundji is expected to be one of the highlights of the Diamond League calendar.
The women’s pole vault will also feature a clash between two of the sport’s biggest names. Defending world champion Katie Moon will renew her rivalry with Olympic gold medallist Nina Kennedy. Both athletes have consistently cleared heights above 4.80 metres and are expected to produce a high-quality competition in Monaco.
Elsewhere, organisers have confirmed the participation of Olympic 800-metre champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi, while Botswana’s emerging 400-metre star Collen Kebinatshipi will also be among the athletes to watch.
Swiss all-rounder Simon Ehammer has been added to the long jump field, while Italy’s world medallist Nadia Battoclettiand reigning world steeplechase champion Geordie Beamish have confirmed their participation in the distance events.
With an increasing number of elite athletes joining the start lists, the 2026 Herculis EBS Meeting is once again shaping up to be one of the standout events of the international athletics season, reinforcing Monaco’s reputation as a stage for world-class performances.
