EL TIEMPO contacted Carlos Robledo, lawyer at Inversiones Los Lagos de Guatapé SAS, who began by ensuring that they had already delivered to the Prosecutor’s Office all the documentation of the planchón in which the party took place.

“The company has always complied with the legal requirements for this type of activities. We have a registration, navigation license and insurance policy up to date, a valid motorist’s license, a sailing permit and lifebuoys.”explained the lawyer.

And regarding the fight inside the planchón, he assured: “What I can say in a personal capacity is that, apparently, initially there was a fight, there is a quite delicate situation on the boat and we can see how the young man jumps. What we have learned is that the young man was a little aggressive and “Apparently he also threatened the captain of the boat, which is when he goes up to drive the boat to go to the dock again.”

In addition, the lawyer assured that there are photographs that corroborate that before setting sail, life jackets were given to all the occupants of the boat and a police search was carried out andn in which no alcoholic or narcotic substances were found.

“However, the person in charge of control and surveillance is the crew, who is the captain. And if the vest is not used, as in this case, the measure dictated by law is the return to the dock, as was apparently happening at the time,” assured the criminal Robledo.

Although the lawyer said that he could not answer at that time if the captain was still linked to Inversiones Los Lagos Guatapé, he explained that there was an internal investigation within the company.
