The early legislative elections in Kosovo next Sunday are taking place in a context of profound political and institutional crisis, marked by months of parliamentary stalemate, difficulties in forming stable governments and growing tensions between the majority and the opposition. The use of the polls, which in the leaders’ intentions should represent a tool to overcome the institutional impasse, instead risks confirming the fragility of the Kosovar political system, characterized by strong polarization and chronic governmental instability.
