In the case of the Ministry of Justice, the change of power also brought the announcement of radical changes by the new minister, Mihael Zupančič. In addition, Zupančič also put into uncertainty a major change in the organization of the courts, which should come into effect in 2027.
Yesterday’s diplomat Mihael Zupančič was able to realize that the justice department itself is quite extensive and complex at the latest during the handover of business with Andreja Kokalj, the last of the three justice ministers of the previous government. The handover with a thorough review of key contents, open cases and the most important tasks was not completed on Friday, but the “important careful and in-depth handover”, as described by the Ministry of Justice, will continue this week.
