The representative of the therapeutic industries and medical supplies sector in the Jordan Chamber of Industry, Dr. Fadi Al-Atrash, appreciated the openness and participatory policy pursued by the General Food and Drug Administration, during a participatory meeting that brought together representatives of the sector with the Foundation to discuss opportunities to support the growth of the sector and enhance its competitiveness.
Al-Atrash confirmed in a statement today, Saturday, that the medical supplies and nutritional supplements sectors witnessed remarkable growth during the last period, driven by the registration of new and innovative varieties that meet the needs of export markets and keep pace with their requirements.
He pointed out that this continued growth reflects positively on the national economy by increasing exports and providing job opportunities, in line with the goals of the economic modernization vision, pointing out the existence of promising opportunities that will enhance the growth of the sector, expand its exports, and build on the achievements it has achieved over the past years.
For her part, the Director General of the Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Rana Obaidat, confirmed that the Corporation is continuing its efforts to develop an advanced and integrated regulatory system that enhances the efficiency of procedures and is consistent with the latest international standards, in addition to consolidating the principle of partnership with various partners, which contributes to achieving common goals and implementing the objectives of the economic modernization vision.
Obaidat explained that the institution’s strategic plan for the years (2026-2029) represents a transformational plan with a modern vision, based on strengthening the institution’s advanced supervisory role and transforming into a supportive engine for national economic growth, in order to achieve common aspirations towards tangible results and performance indicators in the field of registering medical supplies and nutritional supplements products.
