By the end of May 2026, Sociálna poisťovňa prepared and sent a pension forecast to almost 3.4 million clients over the age of 18 who were pension insured for at least one day before January 1, 2026.
The forecasts were distributed through several communication channels: by certified mail, by e-mail (to the address reported by the pension management company or the client himself), or to the e-mail box. In addition, insured persons still have it available online in their electronic account of the insured.
The pension forecast is a new service of the Social Insurance Agency, which provides citizens with an indicative view of their future old-age pension and at the same time allows them to check the data on pension insurance periods during their active working life.
Pension forecast as an investment for the future
“This is the largest client project in the history of the Social Insurance Company. I believe that this tool will gradually become a practical help in preparing for retirement. It is an investment in better informed citizens and in more efficient and faster decision-making about pensions in the future,” said the General Director of the Social Insurance Company Michal Tariška.
From the ongoing evaluation of Social Insurance data, it follows that the average forecasted amount of old-age pension from the I. pension pillar was 1,025 euros and from the II. pillar 273 euros. These are the values of the pension forecast in the basic scenario, adjusted for inflation. More men than women received the prognosis – there were more than 1,850,000 men and almost 1,540,000 women.
How to proceed if you have not received a pension forecast
As of June 1, 2026, Sociálna poisťovňa recorded approximately 135,000 returned or unclaimed shipments with a pension forecast. In the event that the client does not register the delivery of the forecast and is also a saver in II. pension pillar, Social Insurance recommends him to check his mailbox. The Social Insurance Company sent forecasts to savers to email addresses reported by the relevant pension management company.
The pension forecast is always available to clients in the Policyholder’s Electronic Account (EUP).
Therefore, the easiest way to access it is to view it in the EUP online environment. If the insured does not have it active, the Social Insurance Company recommends activating it. In addition to the pension forecast, it also contains other useful information regarding social insurance, including registered
and unregistered pension insurance periods. If the client does not have the opportunity to view the pension forecast in the EUP, he can contact the Social Insurance Agency. Based on his request, the pension forecast will be sent to him again in the requested manner – by email, by letter or to an e-box activated for the delivery of documents. At the same time, he can set the method of delivery of the pension forecast for the future as well. You can report an address or find out answers to possible questions in different ways:

We will prepare better together
“The pension forecast is informative in nature and does not constitute a decision on the pension benefit. Its goal is to help citizens better prepare for the period after the end of economic activity and at the same time to identify and correct any discrepancies in the recorded data in time,” explained Michal Tariška. It is in these situations that Sociálna poisťovňa offers clients a helping hand with individual and targeted advice. “However, what is important is that the missing period in the forecast does not mean the loss of the right to a pension. We will verify the cases individually, supplement the data and they will be reflected in the next forecast. It is the cooperation with the client that helps us identify the missing periods, which is key for their addition and completion, and for that we thank them,” added Martin Hloušek, director of the pension insurance section of the Social Insurance Company. At the same time, he reminded that it is not necessary to deliver the missing documents to the Social Insurance Office immediately. Insureds have enough time for this during their productive life or until the next pension forecast.
Sociálna poisťovňa will continue the pension forecast project in the coming years. It will be sent annually to insured persons over the age of 50. Younger insured persons will receive it regularly every 5 years.
