Swimmer Eva Buzo has joined the protest that is taking place in Tirana against the government, holding a speech in front of the protesters and conveying messages of support for Albanians.
In her speech, she stated that she is in Albania to support the Albanian citizens, stressing that the voice of the protesters is being heard in the world.
She added that the citizens deserve a government that listens to them and represents their interests, while she encouraged them to continue the gatherings peacefully.
Eva Buzo: Hello Albanians, I will speak to you in English because I do not know how to speak Albanian because my family was expelled from the country for decades. But I’m home now.
And I am here to fight for human rights, for the Albanian people, and I will do what I can so that Albanians have their rights and have the government that they deserve and that listens to them.
As long as you are a peaceful protester, you will be the voice of the people and they will join you against the government. Albanians, you are inspiring, the world is listening to your voice. So keep going and don’t give up, make sure your voice is heard more.
