Libya’s Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, met on Wednesday with the Chinese Ambassador to Libya, Liu Jian, to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral relations and advancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting, held at the Foreign Ministry headquarters in Tripoli, reviewed the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Libya and China and explored opportunities to expand ties across various sectors. The two sides also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
Both officials stressed the importance of maintaining coordination, consultation, and mutual support in regional and international forums to enhance joint cooperation and serve the shared interests of both countries.
They also underscored the need to intensify diplomatic engagement and expand bilateral cooperation across different sectors in support of stability and development efforts, while opening broader prospects for partnership between Libya and China.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the strength of Libya-China relations and their continued development, expressing their commitment to further cooperation in the coming period to advance shared interests and deepen bilateral ties.
