Heads and officials of funerals praise the support that the Ashura season receives from the King and the government

Within the framework of the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to strengthen the strategy of community partnership and constructive communication with all community activities and sectors, General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, witnessed yesterday morning at the Police Officers Club the annual meeting with the heads and officials of funerals in the governorates, in the presence of the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the Deputy Minister of Interior, the Chief of Police, the Governors and the two Vice-Presidents of the Council for Islamic Endowments Affairs, within the framework of cooperation and coordination regarding organizing Ashura season activities.

On this occasion, the Minister of Interior conveyed to the audience the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, the symbol of our national identity, the patron of our blessed path and the builder of our prosperous renaissance, and the greetings of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Highness’s keenness to strengthen community communication, as a solid foundation in the foundations of government work.

The Minister of Interior expressed his thanks to the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Chairman of the Council for Islamic Endowments Affairs, for the cooperation and coordination shown by the Council, noting that the Ashura season this year comes under exceptional circumstances in which security tension prevails, due to the sinful Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

During the annual meeting with the heads and officials of obsequies in the governorates, the Minister discussed two main issues: the Ashura season and following up on developments in the arrest of agents of the Guardianship of the Jurist linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in light of the arrest of 41 people, working to spread the ideology of the Guardianship of the Jurist, including those who constitute the main agents in Bahrain, and the arrest of 15 people who are related to the main agents and represent field implementers who work to implement inflammatory instructions by trying to influence citizens, especially young people. And young people, with the aim of pushing them to get involved in acts criminalized by law, exploiting social infiltration methods by planting cells that implement the agendas of illegal entities.

The Minister pointed out what was included in the recent statement of the Public Prosecution that the accused committed many crimes affecting the security of the country and the safety of society and financial crimes, and that they collected money without a license, some of which was transferred to Iran, Iraq and Lebanon to support and finance terrorist organizations there. While it was proven that some of the defendants benefited from the money they collected for private purposes. He explained that the Guardianship of the Jurist is a political project wrapped in a religious cover, and the political affiliation of the followers of the Guardianship of the Jurist is no longer linked to the state in which they live, but rather to the ruling jurist in Iran, pointing out that the network of agents arrested were secretly working to change the reality of Shiite jurisprudence in Bahrain, achieving Iranian expansion in the name of religion, and forming a branching base in the cities and villages of Bahrain loyal to Iran and its leadership represented by the Guardian of the Jurist by focusing on the emerging youth and controlling Funerals, speeches, lessons, financial aid, and instilling obedience to the guardian jurist.

The Minister pointed out that the Guardianship of the Jurist has created among some what could be called “parallel patriotism,” stressing that dual citizenship is something that cannot be accepted, stressing that Bahrain is a sovereign country, and its guardian and leader is His Majesty the King.

He added that our matters are clear, and there must be more awareness to prevent influencing the thought and loyalty of young people and to nullify this plan that aims to change the identity of Bahrain.

In a related context, the Minister pointed out that Ashura this year comes amid tense security conditions and blatant Iranian attacks, pointing to the responsible role of the heads of funerals and those in charge of them in continuing and preserving the mourning over the years and working to enhance public safety and preserve the religious and cultural character of the occasion, and for peace and social stability to remain a priority, in a way that reflects societal awareness and national responsibility, calling on everyone to adhere to the laws and regulations, with the aim of enhancing the security and safety of the participants.

He stressed that we will not leave room for those who work to politicize the occasion, violate public order, violate the law, raise flags, and chant slogans linked to regional agendas and organizations that contradict the constants of the nation and its identity, pointing to the state’s protection and support for the practice of religious rituals guaranteed by law and taking the necessary measures against those who violate and work to exploit religious occasions to serve political goals.

He stressed that condolences to the Guardian Jurist are prohibited and will be held accountable, addressing the audience that their condolences and the condolences of their fathers represent the Husseini rituals observed in Bahrain, which are historically older than the theories, jurisprudence, and approach of the Guardianship of the Jurist.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the heads and officials of the funerals praised the support that the Ashura season receives from His Majesty the King and the support of the government headed by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, appreciating the role of the relevant official authorities in providing all the necessary services to ensure the success of the Ashura season, in a way that preserves social cohesion and stability and maintains the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood among members of society.
