A goal party was offered in the Best Women’s Football League today when the seventh round ended with four games.
Breiðablik is still at the top after a safe away victory over newcomers Grindavíkur/Njarðvíkur, 5:0. Agla María Albertsdóttir scored two goals for Breiðablik, and Hrafnhildur Ása Halldórsdóttir, Katelyn Duong and Líf Joostdóttir van Bemmel also got on the scoresheet.
Víkingur made a good trip north to Akureyri and defeated Þór/KA in a beautiful game, 6:4.
Freyja Stefánsdóttir scored two goals for Víking and Þórdís Hrönn Sigfúsdóttir, Jasmín Erla Ingadóttir, Dagný Rún Pétursdóttir and Jóhanna Elín Halldórsdóttir also scored.
Arna Sif Ásgrímsdóttir, Karen María Sigurgeirsdóttir and Emelía Ósk Kruger scored for Þór/KA and one of the goals was an own goal.
FH defeated Fram, 6:2. Nia Christopher scored three goals for FH and Ingibjörg Magnúsdóttir, Helena Errington and Hafrún Birna Helgadóttir also scored. Taylor Hamlett scored both goals for Fram.
Finally, Stjarnan won 2:0 at home against ÍBV in the quietest game of the day. Fanney Lísa Jóhannesdóttir and Snædís María Jörundsdóttir scored Stjörnun’s goals.
