The Legal Advisory Department of the Municipality of Maldonado (IDM) alerted by the detection of multiple fraudulent maneuvers aimed at obtaining deposits under threatening messages.
According to the official notice, criminals are communicating from various telephone numbers with neighbors of the apartment, simulating an alleged seizure of property for tax debts with the departmental government.
The IDM reiterated that the established protocols provide that all procedures linked to taxes or debts are carried out exclusively in person at the corresponding offices or through the institution’s platforms. Not through third parties.
