“Ahlawi” is preparing to run for president of the unit – Saudi News

The golden member of Al-Ahly Club, Ahmed Al-Sharif, is preparing to run for the presidency of Al-Wahda Club by holding the general assembly announced by the Ministry of Sports last week, as the nomination period for the presidency and membership of the Board of Directors opens next Sunday, and will close next Tuesday.

Ahmed Al-Sherif’s list includes some familiar faces in Al-Wahdawi Street, including Marwan Shaaban, who will run for the position of Vice President. Shaaban began his sporting career in Al-Wahda in the 1990s when he was appointed Director of the Media Center, then Director of Football for the first team, then Vice-President during the Hatem Khaymi administration, which was appointed by former Sports Minister Turki Al-Sheikh. Bassem Manqel, who was a volleyball player in the 1990s, also joined the list. He worked as Secretary-General of the club during the last period, and a member of the Board of Directors with former President Hisham Morsi. The Sheriff’s Department also includes on its membership board a lawyer and a financial consultant.

For his part, an informed source in the Ahmed Al-Sherif administration revealed that the administration currently being formed will have its president responsible for paying 10 million annually, in addition to its adherence to the current director of football, Ismat Babiker, and the technical report presented by the team director, Rosmer, which contains the dismissal of 14 players and the contracting of 10 players, 5 of whom are foreigners, as part of the plan to advance to the Roshen League.

The same source indicated that the club’s management stands at the same distance from all unified forces (the current administration, fans, honorary members, and senior businessmen) in order to create a healthy work environment that helps everyone restore unity to its natural place among the big teams in the Roshen League.

On the other hand, current Vice President Turki Madkhali is still in the process of consultations with officials in the Ministry of Sports and honorary members in order to make the decision to enter the candidacy in the event that financial liquidity is provided that will help him implement the plan to advance all of the club’s games, or to withdraw from the candidacy in the event that sufficient financial liquidity is not provided to implement these plans and preserve the gains made by the current management of the club, especially saving the first football team from the risk of relegation to the second division, remaining in the Yellow League, and reducing debts from 140 million to About 70 million riyals, and the club’s registration registration was lifted, as players were registered during the last winter period.
